PST: US drops to 32nd after loss to Honduras

If you were looking for the United States men?s national team on the first page of FIFA?s rankings, you wouldn?t find them. That?s because the American fell four spots to 32nd in the world after February?s loss to Honduras. Jurgen Klinsmann?s men find themselves sandwiched between Romania and Hungary.

Mexicao, CONCACAF?s top team, stayed in 15th with Switzerland and Uruguay on either side. Honduras moved up eight spots to 51st.

Spain remains No. 1, followed by Germany, Argentina, and England, which jumped two spots over Italy and Colombia. Portugal, the Netherlands, Croatia, and Russia round out the top 10.

In addition to the loss to Honduras, Americans did not fare well due to the anemic 0-0 draw with Canada. They were also hurt by the fact that a 3-2 win against Sweden and a 2-0 victory over Mexico in 2010 World Cup qualifying fell outside the three-year window FIFA uses to calculate the point totals.

Over the last year, the Red, White, and Blue have fluctuated between 27th and 36th. That?s just not all that good, you know?

The U.S. women remain No. 1.
